I'm not seeing "sys requirements 10.9" anywhere on the page from that link, and I'm currently booted to my 10.8. Although I don't see why there would be a problem. I will have to try sometime later to see what happens when I try to install the one from directly, while booted to my 10.6. When I installed it on my 10.6, it didn't complain that this version wasn't allowed, which leads me to believe that it is compatible. However, I should point out that I DLd it booted to my Mountain Lion, from the link I gave you, and used the one for sys admins, which allows the installation on any connected drives (sadly, this is being discontinued at the end of the month.) When it's finished installing in one volume, you just use "change install location" to install to another. But you're saying it's compatible w/ OS X 10.6.8? Snow Leopard supports up to 16 terabytes of RAM. Yes, I did see the link for v23.0.0.162 but the system requirements say it's for OS X 10.9 or later which is why I didn't download it. Mac OS X Snow Leopard and most Mac OS 10.6 built-in applications have been rebuilt to leverage the 64-bit addressing space (excluding iTunes, Front Row, Grapher and DVD Player applications), since Apple has started shipping each Mac as a 64-bit system.
